A couple of weeks ago one of my best friends from college got married!
Since she and her husband met at Brown, and because they decided to get married in Providence, Rhode Island (the same city where he proposed a couple of years ago!), my friend and I thought it would be fun to give her a print with all the places we hung out during our college years as a wedding gift.
After compiling a list of places and phrases that best represented our college years––including the house we lived in senior year and where her husband used to have frisbee practice on rainy days––I reached out to NY-based illustrator, graphic designer, and artist Nichole Goldfarb to design the final piece.
Nicole was so wonderful to work with! She really understood the vision we had for this piece and worked so hard to capture each detail. I love the way the final design turned out!
We gave the print to our friend on the day of her wedding as we were all getting ready in her suite. It was so cool to see her face light up the more she studied the map and noticed each place and phrase. If you attended Brown, I’m sure you’ll recognize some of them!
